At fifteen I fell in love. His name was Jake Stephens and he took the abandoned, lonely girl I had been and made me whole. His love was a pure and unconditional love that made every day better than the last…a fairy tale of my very own.

But this story isn’t about Jake. It’s about Abel Madden; the man I meet after the fairy tale goes to hell. A cocky, arrogant man who says what he wants, does as he pleases, and makes no excuses for it. He irritates me—downright pisses me off at times—but he also brings me back to life.

My name is Sidney Ellis and this is my story of finding love twice—the first when I needed it most and the second when I never saw it coming.

Collecting the Pieces is a standalone Contemporary Romance/Romantic Suspense novel with no cliffhanger.
Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18

This book. This book has left me stunned and in a book hangover. This story has everything. First Love, young love, new love, heartache, just everything!!!

When Sidney falls in love with Jake, he is exactly what she needed. He helped her along the way. He helped her to become the woman she would. What Sidney endures is heartbreaking. I knew from the blurb though, this story wasn’t just about Sidney and Jake, this story was about Abel. As much as I tried to prepare myself for the inevitable to come. I still wasn’t ready when it happened.

Then Sidney meets Abel. *Sigh* He is everything she never imagined herself with. They are complete opposites, and yet, the attraction kept pulling and couldn’t keep them apart. I think Abel was absolutely perfect for Sidney. Exactly what she needed to mend her broken heart. Not only did he do it for her, he did it for me. The characterization was so in depth, I felt like I could feel the emotions of the characters. As Abel started to slowly heal Sidney, I felt my heart slowly piecing back together also.

This story stirred something inside me. I was truly captivated from page one. The continuous love and heartache you feel for the characters keeps you drawn in from the very beginning. I truly loved reading this, and I know you will too. I highly recommend this book!
